Reviews and Ratings
The hotel's location was perfect, making it easy to get around and explore the city. The rooms were small but sufficient, although some toiletries were half used. The service was friendly but at times challenging due to language barriers. A great choice for those wanting to be near central Cambridge. The dining options were a bit disappointing, but the staff went out of their way to be helpful.
The hotel is ideally located about halfway between the center and the station. The room, although below ground level, was not suitable for anyone suffering from panic attacks. The service was incredibly friendly and went out of their way to be helpful, but they never acknowledged our cheery greetings. The location is excellent, close to many attractions in Cambridge and within walking distance of most sights. The dining was basic but satisfactory, offering a good variety of options. Overall, a mixed experience with some notable positives and negatives.
My stay at the hotel was a mix of good and not-so-great experiences. The rooms were very spacious and attractive, but unfortunately, they weren't warm upon my arrival on a cold winter day, and the location of my room made it inconvenient for fresh air. The service was fantastic overall, with helpful staff who even arranged an early check-in for us. The location was ideal for exploring Cambridge, being close to the city center and transportation hubs. The dining options were decent, though some hot breakfast options were missing. The facilities were well-maintained throughout the hotel.
The hotel is conveniently located near the Grand Arcade and tourist spots. The rooms are well-equipped and nicely presented, though on the small side with a tired bathroom. Despite being cozy and warm, noise from heavy traffic can be bothersome. The service is generally friendly and accommodating but lacks clear information on certain amenities. The location is superb, making it easy to explore the historic center and enjoy nearby shops and restaurants. Dining options are satisfactory with a good variety of items. Overall, a pleasant stay with minor inconveniences.
The hotel is set up for those with disabilities, but the lack of proper ventilation made the room uncomfortable in the hot weather. The heavy traffic noise from the main road in front of the hotel was a significant disturbance to my stay.
My stay at this hotel had its ups and downs. On one hand, the rooms were not as picturesque as shown online, and they remained chilly even with the radiators on all night. Our room was in the basement with a small window looking out at an inner courtyard, making it feel a bit cramped. However, the location was excellent, within walking distance of everywhere we wanted to visit in Cambridge. The service was a mixed bag - the staff were polite and professional but not overly friendly. The dining options were a bit hit-and-miss, with tasty offerings but limited choices in the morning. Despite some shortcomings, the overall experience was pleasant and comfortable.
